About The Position

This role involves operating all equipment related to the filling area, preparing raw materials for drumming (drums, lids, liners, nuts, bolts), and becoming familiar with the pumps, dials, buttons, and levers required to operate lance fillers. The operator will be responsible for labeling rework product, documenting traceability information, and assisting with maintenance and preventative maintenance (PMs). Daily sanitation of the work area following CSOP procedures is required, along with knowledge of chemical handling for sanitation purposes. The position also includes assisting in cleaning work areas and juice troughs, and other duties as assigned by the production supervisor.

Requirements

• Experience in food processing facility and GMP’s associated to it.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as company policies and MSDS.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, Q.A. personnel and management.
• Basic arithmetic to follow labels numerical order.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be frequently required to; stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, speak, hear, taste and smell.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Operates all equipment related to the filling area.
• Prepares raw material for drumming-drums, lids liners, nuts, bolts.
• Familiar with pumps, dials, buttons and levers required to operate lance fillers.
• Labels rework product produced and documents traceability documents appropriately.
• Dumping product as per (WI,SOP'S) on Concentrate & NFC Juice, Assist on maintenance and PM's
• Maintain area clean at all times, performing sanitation every day after production following the CSOP procedures.
• Chemicals handling knowledge- Hypochlorite 12% concentration, Enviro Klor Plus-foaming Detergent to perform sanitation, Caustic Soda.
• Assists in cleaning work area, juice troughs, grading table, etc during and after work shift.
• Cleanliness: All employees working in direct contact with food, food-contact surfaces, and food-packaging materials shall conform to hygienic practices while on duty to the extent necessary to protect against contamination of food.
• Disease Control: Any employee who, by medical examination or supervisory observation, is shown to have, or appears to have, an illness, open lesion, including boils, sores, or infected wounds, or any other abnormal source of microbial contamination by which there is a reasonable possibility of food, food-contact surfaces, or food packaging materials becoming contaminated, shall be excluded from any operations which may be expected to result in such contamination until the condition is corrected.
