About The Position
The phlebotomy supervisor is responsible for oversight of the Occ Health drug testing / phlebotomy staff operations. Oversees the work of the team, making certain that all areas under his/her responsibility are covered and all policies and procedures are adhered to.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand written data
- Good verbal communication skills
- Data entry skills
- Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology, or 3 years of hospital phlebotomy experience or equivalent
- Federal Drug and Alcohol certification within 3 weeks of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification within 3 months of hire
- Minimum of two years phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting with demonstrated advanced skill in venipuncture.
- Experience in data entry and medical terminology.
