About The Position

The Drug Discovery & Translational Sciences Division of Inotiv Corp (DTS) is seeking an intern for the summer term 2026. Based in Boulder, CO the intern will join our team of Biochemical Pharmacologists and Biochemists embarking on an exciting project involving the ex vivo global and targeted proteomic characterization of specific organ tissue from mammalian species. The intern will primarily utilize a combination of biochemistry, high resolution mass spectrometry and bioinformatics to elucidate pathways contributing to a specific diseased tissue and determine its relevance to human disease. In this position, you will be a team member working on a strategic partnership outlined and managed by Inotiv DTS and aimed at understanding the underlying mechanisms leading to comorbid disease states impacting liver, heart and kidney. You will work directly with scientists in the Boulder laboratory but will also connect with other scientists from various teams across the Inotiv organization. The successful candidate is currently enrolled in an undergraduate institution seeking a degree (B.Sc.) in Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Chemical Biology or Bioanalytical Sciences, or has graduated from an institution granting degrees similarly. Deliverables from the internship will be as follows: Develop proficiency in sample processing of ex vivo organs and tissue, contemporary cell culture, novel alternative methods (NAMs) and human FFPE specimens from diseased and tissue. Proactively share findings and knowledge to support continued partnership with Inotiv’s strategic partners Summary report on project outcomes at completion of internship.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate institution seeking a degree (B.Sc.) in Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Chemical Biology or Bioanalytical Sciences, or has graduated from an institution granting degrees similarly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
