About The Position

Recovery Navigators will provide direct case management services to clients participating in the Oklahoma County Treatment Court Programs (Drug/DUI, Veterans Treatment, DREAMS) and will act as the primary point of contact and liaison between the client, the court program team, and Diversion Hub services navigators. Recovery Navigators will focus on supporting the execution of the Diversion Hub’s programs and mission, while ensuring clients’ compliance with their Treatment Court Program. The Diversion Hub seeks to make lasting, transformative improvements in the lives of the clients seeking assistance.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or high school equivalency degree.
  • Clearance of background check.
  • Must have own transportation for site visits.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance on motor vehicle in accordance with state law and agency requirements.
  • A working knowledge of the criminal justice system.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Be able to interact with persons of diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in a manner that demonstrates sensitivity toward cultural differences and respect for everyone.
  • Possess maturity and judgment consistent with the high level of responsibility.
  • Demonstrate capacity for teaching adults and older adults.
  • Experience working with clients experiencing acute mental health
  • Experience working with clients living with substance abuse disorders
  • Demonstrate flexibility in position requirements.
  • A proven track record developing community partnerships and building effective collaborations.
  • Proven ability to meet multiple deadlines and balance numerous projects while maintaining a perspective on long-term goals.

  • Must have excellent command of English language and grammar, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to manually operate and use a computer.
  • Must be able to clearly hear and understand telephone conversations.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Communications, Criminal Justice, Political Science or similar human service area from an accredited college or university OR certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Treatment Court team to coordinate and create a comprehensive service plan based on client needs.
  • Conduct meetings as needed with clients to evaluate progress in accomplishing goals set forth to ensure court compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of community services and resources available to clients.
  • Evaluate client risk and assess need for immediate intervention.
  • Serve as on-going liaison with Diversion Hub, Treatment Court team, public defender’s office, and other necessary partner agencies to ensure effective and efficient communication.
  • Submit all required case management reports timely for program activity reporting as determined and requested by the Director of Programs.
  • Assist client participation with Treatment Court Programs by ensuring that client is engaged with the assigned treatment team and is regularly meeting requirements set forth by program.
  • Facilitate client access to meet the gaps in needs with additional community resources including but not limited to housing, government benefits, food, clothing, physical health, dental, vocational opportunities, peer support, life skills, and employment.
  • Support the Treatment Court Programs with needs for clients as they arise and provide regular status updates for clients working with Diversion Hub onsite service navigators.
  • Work with the Treatment Court Programs on increasing engagement and successful graduations for clients.
  • Adhere to agency code of ethics and professional standards including maintaining strict client confidentiality.
  • Attend all staff development, trainings and meetings as required.
  • Any other duties within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job.
