About The Position

This Drug & Alcohol Treatment Counselor opportunity is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient schedule. This individual will provide clinical social services to patients and families through assessment, treatment planning, individual and family therapy, group facilitation, crisis intervention, and discharge coordination. This role supports patients in addressing biopsychosocial needs and developing skills necessary to achieve emotional stability and functional recovery. The Program Therapist serves as a core clinical member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and is responsible for delivering therapeutic interventions, coordinating care, and supporting continuity of treatment from admission through discharge.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • 1-3 years experience required
  • BLS Required

Nice To Haves

  • Master's preferred
  • LDATC or CADAC Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual, group, couples, and family therapy sessions.
  • Provide psychoeducation and process therapy groups.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address patient needs.
  • Develop therapeutic alliances that support engagement and recovery
  • Assess psychosocial, behavioral, and emotional functioning.
  • Identify treatment needs and risk factors.
  • Document updates when significant changes occur.
  • Consult with families regarding emotional and social needs.
  • Intake paperwork and treatment plan completed within 72 hours of admit.
