About The Position

RieLes Group is seeking an experienced Drug/Alcohol Counselor (TEAP) to support the Job Corps Health and Wellness Program (Wellness Center) at the USDA Forest Service's Anaconda Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. RieLes Group has been providing meaningful opportunities that move people to social and economic empowerment since 2009, focusing on Persistence, Integrity, Authenticity, and Respect. This role involves providing prevention, assessment, intervention, counseling, case management, and education services related to substance misuse and abuse for Job Corps students aged 16-24. The counselor will collaborate with healthcare providers and mental health professionals to enhance student wellness, retention, and employability.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted substance abuse counselor license or certification meeting state requirements
  • Maintain required professional licensure and insurance throughout the contract period
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Conduct substance misuse assessments for applicants and students
  • Develop treatment and intervention plans
  • Provide brief counseling and crisis intervention
  • Coordinate referrals to community treatment providers
  • Collaborate with the Center Mental Health Counselor regarding co-occurring disorders
  • Monitor student progress and compliance
  • Conduct required substance abuse prevention presentations for new students
  • Organize at least three annual center-wide prevention activities
  • Maintain accurate Student Health Records
  • Participate in DOL trainings, assessments, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
