About The Position

ITC is looking for motivated individuals to join our fiber splicing team! Experience in the Telecom industry is preferred but not required. We will fully train you to splice fiber optic cable and earn a great income. This includes underground and aerial splicing, as well as running fiber drops for our client. We service both residential and commercial customers. Experience running trenching machines is a plus.

Requirements

Valid state driver’s license and non-negligent driving record
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol screen
Ability to visually perceive differences in wire and cable colors
Ability to complete on-the-job and/or classroom training in order to remain competitive in the telecommunications field

Nice To Haves

Experience in the Telecom industry
Experience running trenching machines

Responsibilities

Splice fiber optic cable
Perform underground and aerial splicing
Run fiber drops for clients
Service residential and commercial customers
Operate various trenching equipment such as a mini skid steer or walk beside trencher
Carry, handle, and climb 28-ft ladders
Work at heights: Splice fiber on utility poles and strands
Lift and move up to 100 lbs
Complete on-the-job and/or classroom training
