About The Position

Happy Valley Casino, located in the Nittany Mall in State College, PA, is seeking a dedicated Drop Count Lead to join their Finance team. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and security of all drop and count operations within the casino's gaming facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to regulatory compliance, while also assisting in the supervision of daily count room activities.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to obtain and maintain licensure through the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Possess a high level of integrity and ethical conduct.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motion tasks.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

Previous count room, cage, casino operations, finance, or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of drop and count procedures, cash handling practices, and gaming regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

Assisting in supervising the count team during daily count operations, ensuring adherence to established processes and accuracy in all monetary counts.
Leading the count team through drop, transport, hard count, and soft count activities.
Assuming responsibility for the efficient operation of the count room and staff in the absence of the Drop & Count Supervisor.
Ensuring gaming device and table game drops, as well as count room procedures, are conducted in compliance with all applicable gaming regulations.
Verifying totals, documentation, and accuracy of currency, ticket, and other count-related transactions.
Reporting any discrepancies, variances, or irregularities to the Drop & Count Supervisor.
Ensuring all count procedures are followed according to Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations and company policies.
Maintaining the secure handling, transportation, and movement of drop boxes throughout the property.
Issuing disciplinary counseling when necessary, in accordance with company policy.
Completing performance evaluations for Count Team Members as assigned and in line with company standards.
Following established drop schedules and ensuring all deadlines are met.
Reviewing drop and count room activities with the Drop & Count Supervisor.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all count room activities.
Performing other duties assigned by management and/or authorized by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
