To complete our creative and dynamic team in Denver, we are seeking a: Drone Pilot & Trainer (100%) Starting date: as soon as possible Your role: This role will be responsible for demonstrating Flyability’s technology across the US, Canada and Mexico across a number of industrial assets, working very closely with the Sales Team. Furthermore, you will be in charge of performing training sessions - both in person and virtual ones - with clients, as well as providing technical assistance and repairs. On a day-to-day basis, you will often be travelling to assist with demonstrations and perform Proof of Concepts in-asset on industrial sites. You will also be called to support our customers by providing technical expertise for their various inspection missions, as well as offer first-line support if needed. We are looking for someone with piloting expertise in drones, who is curious, independent and has proven field experience. We are looking for someone who has experience with lidar in a surveying capacity. More than just a pilot.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in operating drones or robotic devices
  • Surveying experience, including processing visual data and 3d models
  • FAA PArt 107 certificate
  • Ability to work on industrial sites (refineries, chemical plants, mines, etc) which may require climbing multiple flights of stairs, working at heights, or working in hazardous environments
  • Ability to load, unload and set up equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proven track-record in a customer facing role, providing support and expertise
  • Proactive, principled, and effective in international, cross-functional teams
  • Fluent English
  • Ability and willingness to travel across US, Canada, & Mexico
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, with peaks of 100%, sometimes over the weekend; travel may be conducted alone or with sales personnel.
  • A company credit card will be provided for all business travel expenses.

Responsibilities

  • Fly the Flyability drones inside various industrial assets for demonstrations and Proof of Concepts for prospects and customers to demonstrate the value of the product
  • Provide customers and partners with assistance in mission planning and execution
  • Assist the sales team with complex piloting needs during events and during roadshows
  • Assist the successful onboarding of customers and partners by walking them through the training process, and performing training when needed
  • Perform maintenance and piloting training for partners
  • Coordinate trainings for customers with commercial partners
  • Manage training and technical partnerships
  • Assist with other tasks required by the team as needed
