About The Position

Valcourt Building Services is seeking a Drone Operator to operate the Lucid Bots Sherpa Drone for pressure washing and window cleaning on mid-rise to high-rise buildings. The role involves planning and carrying out safe, efficient cleaning operations, maintaining the drone, documenting work, and coordinating with teams and clients. Work is outdoors in various weather conditions and involves frequent travel to job sites.

Requirements

FAA Part 107 Certification for commercial drone operation.
Proven experience operating drones for commercial applications; pressure washing or building maintenance experience is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of drone operation laws and building safety standards.
Technical skills for troubleshooting and maintaining drone equipment.
Strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, and operational precision.
Physical ability to transport, set up, and manage drone equipment.
Basic understanding of building facades, pressure washing techniques, and water management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration and client interaction.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating the Lucid Bots Sherpa Drone or similar technology.
Familiarity with environmental compliance regulations for runoff and water management.
Background in window cleaning, pressure washing, or related building maintenance services.

Responsibilities

Operate the Lucid Bots Sherpa Drone for pressure washing and window cleaning on mid-rise to high-rise buildings.
Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to verify drone performance and safety compliance.
Assess building surfaces and develop cleaning strategies suited to structural challenges.
Control the drone carefully during cleaning operations to ensure effective work and avoid property damage.
Comply with FAA regulations, including line-of-sight requirements and restrictions on airspace.
Follow OSHA standards and Valcourt safety protocols.
Prepare and carry out site-specific work plans, risk assessments, and hazard mitigation strategies.
Manage runoff and comply with environmental regulations.
Perform routine drone maintenance, including cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Document projects with before-and-after photos, client reports, and operational logs.
Report technical issues, accidents, and near-misses to management and participate in resolution processes.
Coordinate site access, water sources, and project schedules with operations and site teams.
Communicate professionally with clients, provide project updates, and address questions or concerns.
