About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to ensuring that students acquire the necessary skills to become safe and responsible drivers. This role involves both ZOOM instruction and behind-the-wheel training, providing a comprehensive educational experience for learners of all ages.

Requirements

• MUST HAVE CT DMV INSTRUCTOR LICENSE-- THIS IS NOT A NORMAL DRIVER'S LICENSE
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience working with students in an educational setting; experience in adult education is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and instructions.
• Ability to manage a ZOOM classroom environment while fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
• A passion for educating others and helping them develop essential life skills through safe driving practices.
• Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for teaching individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ONLINE ZOOM sessions to educate students on traffic laws, safe driving practices, and vehicle operation.
• Provide hands-on driving instruction in various conditions to enhance students’ practical driving skills.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and areas for improvement.
• Assess student performance through evaluations and provide constructive feedback to facilitate learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and completion of required training hours.
• Stay updated on state regulations and best practices in driver education to ensure compliance and quality instruction.
