About The Position

Motivate is looking for Part-Time Seasonal Drivers for evening and overnight shifts to operate vehicles to move traditional and e-bikes throughout New York’s bikeshare system. The ability to pick up additional shifts is offered throughout the season. Please note that schedules are subject to change as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and for business need.

Requirements

Prior commercial driving experience with a large vehicle
A valid driver's license
Can pass a motor vehicle record check
Proficient with using a smart phone with apps
Safety-focused
Comfortable driving, maneuvering, stopping, and working in busy, urban outdoor environments
Dependable and follow an assigned schedule
Follow instructions, ask questions, and request feedback to improve performance
Can lift up to 75 pounds
Push/pull bikes repeatedly throughout your work shift
Stoop, bend, kneel, sit or stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

Drive a company vehicle (large cargo van or box-truck) throughout the bike share system to redistribute bikes, bringing those needing service to the depot, following your assigned route
Load and unload materials and bikes from vehicles
Perform pre/post trip inspections for every vehicle trip, report vehicle issues to management, and clean vehicle as necessary
Follow safe driving and work practices and adhere to all workplace policies
Communicate with dispatch/management throughout shift
