About The Position

This position requires the safe and timely delivery of assigned loads to final destinations. The individuals who perform this job are experienced drivers that can function as part of a team as well as effectively function independently. State law says you must be over the age of 21 to work at Specs. Specs insists that you be a human being (my dogs are cute, but they cannot do the job).

  • Applicants must have a valid driver's license for this position.
  • You may need to obtain a Motor Vehicle Report from your license state of issuance if that state does not provide MVRs to third parties.

  • Paying Close Attention to Details: This involves catching errors before they become problems. In a warehouse or technical setting, this means verifying SKU numbers, checking safety seals, or ensuring data entry is 100% accurate.
  • Working with a Sense of Purpose: This is about "internal drive." It means you don't just wait to be told what to do; you understand the "why" behind your tasks and move with intentionality to meet goals.
  • Being On Time for Your Scheduled Shift: Reliability is the foundation of professional trust. Being "on time" often means being ready to work the moment your shift begins, not just walking through the door.
  • Working Under Time Restraints: The ability to prioritize tasks so that deadlines are met without sacrificing quality.
  • Working Under Pressure: This refers to maintaining your composure and decision-making abilities during peak hours, emergencies, or when facing unexpected issues.
  • Working Well with Others in a Group Setting: This means being a "force multiplier"—someone who makes the team better through collaboration, sharing the workload, and maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Communicating Effectively: This is the ability to relay information clearly and concisely. It includes active listening, asking clarifying questions, and ensuring that instructions are understood by everyone involved.
