Driver - Afternoon Shift
About The Position
The Butcher Shoppe is a custom packaged meats company located in Toronto. Our meats are carefully selected for quality & consistency to achieve the highest standards of our customers. Daily, thousands of pounds of meat are processed and fulfilled by a team of butchers, who convert fresh meat to custom specifications. With hundreds of deliveries every day to customers across Ontario including hotels, casinos, event venues, restaurants and other foodservice outlets, the company manages a complex supply chain and distribution network. Over the past 40 years, we have grown steadily to meet the demands of the foodservice industry and now, the online consumer.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years in a delivery driving role.
- Valid G driver’s license and a clear driver’s abstract.
Nice To Haves
- Experience driving a straight truck is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Delivers high-quality products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
- Establishes and maintains outstanding relations with customers.
- Reviews and verifies invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy.
- Inspects delivery vehicles and ensures the safety and security of the loading and unloading process.
- Contacts customers to confirm delivery details.
- Determines placement of merchandise, follows safety and lifting protocols during deliveries, and conducts safety reviews.
- Maintains delivery logs and records.
