Driver
About The Position
Motivate is looking for full-time Drivers to operate vehicles to transport bicycles and replace batteries for Bay Area’s bikeshare system. Drivers will need to be available to work a mixture of both weekday and weekend day (morning and evening shifts). Schedules are subject to change as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and for business need. The role involves driving a large company vehicle (e.g., a cargo van) throughout the bike share system to switch out batteries, bringing depleted batteries to the depot for recharging, following an assigned route. Drivers will also move bikes within the network of bike stations, load and unload materials, bicycles, and batteries, and perform pre/post trip inspections for every vehicle trip. Responsibilities include reporting vehicle issues to management, cleaning the vehicle as necessary, following safe work practices, adhering to all workplace policies, and communicating with dispatch/management throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Comfortable using a smart phone with apps
- Comfortable driving, stopping, maneuvering, and working in busy, urban outdoor environments
- Dependable and follow an assigned schedule
- Follow instructions, ask questions, and request feedback to improve performance
- Can lift/push/pull to 75 pounds; stoop, bend, kneel, or stand for long periods of time
Responsibilities
