About The Position

Tempur Canada is seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to safely and efficiently transport products and materials to various locations. This role is crucial for ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the high standards of customer service our brand represents.

Requirements

• Valid G Class driver's license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a delivery or logistics setting.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of local routes and geographical areas within Canada.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings or evenings, as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles (e.g., vans, trucks) in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Load and unload products, ensuring items are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
• Verify accuracy of shipments against delivery manifests and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues or concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and internal staff regarding delivery schedules and any unexpected delays.
• Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned company vehicles.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures, especially when handling and transporting goods.
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including organizing inventory and preparing shipments.
