About The Position

The Bridge Family Center is looking for a part time Driver for its Quality Parenting Center in Cromwell, CT. The Driver is responsible for providing reliable and safe transportation for children and/or families to and from scheduled visits.

Requirements

• Valid CT Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to address and take control of difficult situations in the moment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Possess the following certifications, or be eligible to obtain these after hire: Adult/Child CPR & First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Visit Coaching Model Training, and additional DCF trainings as determined by the program.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual Spanish/English speaking preferred to meet the needs of the clients.
• Experience working with children and families strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for children and/or families to scheduled visits at the QPC during both day and evening hours.
• Maintain consistent communication with the Program Director and scheduler.
• Report any safety concerns immediately.
• Complete and submit monthly vehicle maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance as needed and arrange for replacement vehicle (as needed).
• Cordially interact with passengers. Address difficult situations in the moment and report them to the Program Director and Family Life Coach.
• Additional duties as assigned. Flexibility required to meet schedule changes, as needed.
