About The Position

The Driver position, under the supervision of the Transportation Coordinator, is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of Healthy Aging and Wellness Program participants, as well as meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy items, and any other necessary transportation. The driver is also responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety of the assigned vehicle daily and for communicating any safety issues to the Transportation Coordinator.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid WA State Driver’s License with a clean driving record and proof of insurance.
  • Current DOT Medical Card for non-CDL commercial drivers.
  • Able to pass a driving competency test demonstrating safe operation of company vehicles.
  • Must have active CPR and First Aid Certification within 1 month of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience working with the frail and elderly population preferred. If not met, willingness to train on the complexities of serving a frail and elderly population is required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of Healthy Aging and Wellness Program participants.
  • Transport participants, meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other transportation as deemed necessary.
  • Responsible for overall cleanliness and safety of the vehicle assigned on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for communicating any safety issue to the Transportation Coordinator.
