About The Position

Responsible for the safe transportation of patients correlating to the Behavioral Health Center and IOP services.

Requirements

• Reading and numerical competency.
• One year previous experience as a driver preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license, be at least 21 years of age and cannot have any of the following within the last 36 months: been convicted of an alcohol/drug-related offense while driving, had driver’s license suspended/ revoked,convicted of two or more speeding violations or one or more other serious violations and/or been involved in onechargeable accident.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines mustbe completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting.
• Handle with Care and Verbal DeEscalation training must be completed within 60 days of new hire orientation and annually prior to working in a clinical setting
• Ability to manage time independently and prioritize work.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all types of patients and caregivers.
• Requires specific knowledge of road and vehicle safety techniques, devices, and their application.
• Requires ability to use complex technical information.
• Must be able to listen, comprehend and absorb a variety of detailed information.
• Requires the ability to break down complex facts/process different types of information simultaneously.
