About The Position

TerraBella Senior Living is looking for a Part Time Driver to join their community in Southern Pines. This role is responsible for providing timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities while ensuring quality service. The driver will assist disabled passengers, secure wheelchairs, operate communication devices, maintain community vehicles, and handle refueling and servicing. Additionally, the driver will assist with vehicle registration and license plate renewals, and conduct regular vehicle inspections.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be 21 years or older.
Current commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety measures.
Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Providing timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities while providing quality service.
Assisting disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle.
Securing passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
Safely operating radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
Maintaining all community vehicles in good working condition.
Cleaning and servicing vehicles with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
Assisting with vehicle registration and license plates renewal process.
Inspecting and documenting vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis.
