About The Position

Wendell Foster is interested in hiring an energetic Full-Time Driver for our Transportation Department to join the team of #DifferenceMakers!

High school diploma or G.E.D. required
Per insurance requirements, must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age
Knowledge of vehicles, specifications, and vehicle maintenance, including vehicles used to transport individuals with disabilities
Valid driver's license, insurable driving record, and ability to drive facility vehicles required
Possess or be able to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications (training provided)

Conducts pre- and post-trip inspections while completing a Daily Report to include maintenance issues
Ensures assigned vehicles are clean inside and swept out at the end of the day, along with other end-of-day procedures
Ensures vehicles are properly equipped and stocked with required equipment and supplies each day
Transports passengers according to the safest and shortest route possible
Assists with the coordination and assignment of transportation routes and provides information to dispatch
Possesses knowledge of, implements, and maintains approved routes
Adheres to written instructions and policies concerning passengers
Maintains and uses the current and approved manifest
