About The Position
This role involves delivering Jimmy John's sandwiches within a defined local delivery area, featuring short routes and familiar territory. Between deliveries, drivers will also work in-shop, with all time compensated. The position requires learning routes for efficient and safe order delivery, double-checking orders before dispatch, taking phone orders, and accurately handling payments. At the end of each shift, drivers will reconcile cash, tips, and mileage with their manager. Opportunities for advancement exist, as many store and corporate leaders began their careers as drivers or in-shop team members, with over 100 stores across seven states for potential promotion.
Requirements
- 18 or older
- Valid driver's license and your own reliable, insured vehicle
- Driving record with no DUIs and no more than two moving violations in the past three years
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers in English (phone orders, delivery tickets)
- Must pass an MVR check
Responsibilities
- Learn your routes and get orders out fast and safely
- Double-check every order before it leaves
- Take phone orders and handle payments accurately
- Reconcile your cash, tips, and mileage with your manager at shift end
- Pitch in on in-shop tasks between runs
