Requirements

A valid driver's license with a safe driving record
At least 21 years of age
Previous driving experience
Patience and a genuine desire to work with seniors
Dependability
A pleasant, friendly, and helpful attitude at all times
Ability to learn tasks and follow written and oral instructions

Responsibilities

Transport residents according to an established schedule
Assist residents in and out of vehicles, using the wheelchair lift as needed
Accurately maintain required transportation records and logs
Maintain the vehicle as needed — fill with gas, keep clean, and notify the Maintenance Director of any problems or needed repairs
Collect, clean, and distribute residents' linens in a timely, organized manner
Occasionally clean, dust, vacuum, empty trash, and wash windows in resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
Handle, process, and store linens and resident clothing properly to help control the spread of infection or disease
