About The Position

OVERVIEW Cadrex is looking for an experienced driver (non-CDL) to drive a company owned box truck and/or van, with a capacity of approximately 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified local destinations.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Able to pass a DOT physical
  • Good driving record
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment is preferred
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow delivery instructions
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed
  • High School Diploma
  • Certification from an accredited CDL school a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Operates truck for the delivery, pickup and relocation of company products
  • Choose the best route to return in a safe and timely manner
  • Loads and unloads truck
  • Carries out material handling functions as needed
  • Positions blocks and secures cargo to ensure safety during transit
  • Maintains and protects all property in excellent condition
  • Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations
  • Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
  • Maintains all documentation related to truck maintenance
  • Calls for emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs
  • Establishes positive relationship with vendors and customers
  • Aids in keeping the warehouse clean and well always organized
  • Notifies Manager of any changes in routes, stops, or daily schedule
  • Notifies Manager of any needs related to safe and efficient performance
