About The Position

Futures is seeking reliable, compassionate individuals to join our team as a Full-Time Driver. In this role, you will provide safe, dependable transportation for passengers while delivering excellent customer service. Drivers play a critical part in supporting individuals in our community by ensuring they arrive at their destinations comfortably and on time.

Requirements

• Ability to independently enter and exit various vans and buses
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly to assist passengers and secure equipment
• Ability to push and pull individuals in wheelchairs when loading and unloading
• Ability to routinely lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Ability to assist passengers and their belongings from origin to destination
• Personable – Technical skills can be taught on the job, but personality cannot.
• Stick-to-it-iveness – Job-hoppers need not apply. Relationships must be built, and good training takes time. Serious consideration is given to applicants who have demonstrated some longevity with their previous employer(s).
• A valid driver license
• A friendly, positive attitude and a desire to make a difference in the lives of the people Futures Unlimited transports.

Nice To Haves

• A Kansas commercial driver’s license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vans and buses on assigned routes
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles
• Secure mobility devices and ensure passenger safety during transport
• Provide courteous, professional, and respectful service
