Driver (Substance Abuse Treatment)
About The Position
Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and safety-focused Driver to join our team in Winston-Salem, NC. In this role, you'll provide safe and reliable transportation for individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use treatment services, helping ensure they arrive at appointments, program activities, and other essential destinations. Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean and safe driving record.
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in transportation, healthcare, behavioral health, or human services.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain if required).
Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients to and from treatment programs, medical appointments, community outings, and other designated locations.
- Maintain a professional, supportive, and respectful presence during all client interactions.
- Assist clients with transportation needs while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and required documentation.
- Follow established transportation schedules while adapting to changing client needs and priorities.
- Respond calmly and appropriately to unexpected situations while ensuring client and staff safety.
- Assist with light housekeeping or facility support duties during downtime as needed.
- Operate vehicles in compliance with company policies and all traffic laws.
- Lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
