About The Position

This position is responsible for operating trucks requiring a CDL Class license, completing daily inspections of equipment, pulling and staging product for delivery, and making deliveries to customers. The role also involves managing customer payments, handling product returns, picking up products from vendors, and maintaining DOT driver's logs. Additionally, the driver will be responsible for inventory management of newly produced items, establishing positive customer relationships, and ensuring all work complies with company policies and regulations.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL (required).
Minimum of 3 years driving experience with CDL.
Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
Satisfactory background check, DOT drug and physical, and DOT Road Test.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Professional communication and demeanor

Nice To Haves

Ability to operate manual and/or electric pallet jack, electric standup lift and forklift (required)
Move pallets ranging from 600-3500 lbs. with the use of manual/electric pallet jack.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 90 pounds occasionally.
Load and unload trucks in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Operating trucks requiring a CDL Class license
Complete daily inspection of pallet jacks and lift trucks as needed.
Pull and stage product for delivery using order load sheets.
Annotate product lot numbers and quantity on load sheets.
Utilize Driver Manifest to make deliveries and record customer payments.
Unload and verify product delivery with customer using customer invoice.
Immediately report delivery problems to Supervisor.
Complete Product Delivery Exceptions form as needed and turn in to Supervisor.
Turn in customer payments and trip receipts promptly.
Pick up products from vendors as needed.
Complete Product Receiving Log and turn in to Supervisor.
Maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) driver’s log.
Count and list newly produced items on Daily Production Receiving Inventory sheet.
Place newly produced items in assigned storage slots.
Establish positive customer relationships
Perform all work in compliance with company policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
All other duties as assigned.
