Driver (Substance Abuse Treatment PT)
About The Position
Pyramid Healthcare – Concord is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and safety-focused Part-Time Driver to support individuals in the early stages of substance use and mental health recovery. This position plays a vital role in ensuring clients arrive safely and on time to treatment services and program locations throughout the Southeast. The ideal candidate is professional, reliable, and committed to providing exceptional support while helping individuals on their recovery journey. As a Driver, you will provide safe and timely transportation for clients traveling to and from treatment programs and designated locations throughout North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, and surrounding areas. You will also help maintain a supportive, respectful environment during transport while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet driving eligibility requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous professional driving, transportation, healthcare, or behavioral health experience.
- Experience working with individuals receiving substance use or mental health treatment services.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients to and from designated regional locations.
- Ensure client safety, comfort, and appropriate conduct during transportation.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and documentation.
- Respond calmly and appropriately to unexpected situations or emergencies.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties at designated locations when transportation responsibilities are complete.
- Manage routes, schedules, and responsibilities independently.
- Lift and transport items up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
