About The Position

Ride Free Lafayette is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team as a Driver. This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills who are passionate about assisting the general public in and around Lafayette. Ride Free Lafayette is a transportation service that offers a convenient, on-demand public transportation option designed to supplement existing transit systems. Drivers will make real-time decisions on how to accommodate all the trips coming in, aiming to minimize passenger travel time while occasionally deviating based on total trip demands. The service utilizes Ecolane on-demand software and a passenger app for ride scheduling.

Requirements

19 years old or older
Possess a Driver's License that has been continually valid for at least the past two (2) years
Must pass and maintain a DOT physical, random drug testing, and ongoing Motor Vehicle Records checks
Must have a desire to work with any level of the general public

Nice To Haves

Experience in Transit, paratransit, transportation, caregiver, delivery driver, shuttle, or medical driver roles.

Responsibilities
