About The Position
Riddle Village is seeking a Full-Time CDL Driver to provide safe, timely transportation to residents, guests, and designated visitors. This involves driving facility vehicles to various local destinations, including restaurants, shopping centers, and physician offices, as well as special activities and events. The role requires maintaining vehicle logs, purchasing gas, and ensuring preventative maintenance and inspection schedules are current. The Driver will also perform minor vehicular maintenance, keep vehicles clean, and may assist at the Concierge desk or perform other duties as assigned. The position operates in modern vehicles and may involve working day and night shifts, in varied weather conditions, and requires physical activity such as walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting.
Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Must possess a current Commercial Driver's License as currently required by the State of Pennsylvania.
- Must have a verifiable safe driving record.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the metropolitan and surrounding area.
- Must have a genuine interest in geriatric care and believe in and uphold the philosophy of the facility.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance and demonstrate a courteous, friendly, patient, and congenial manner at all times.
- Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.

- Previous transportation experience is preferred.
Responsibilities

- Drive facility vehicles to local restaurants, shopping centers, physician offices, and other various locations.
- Transport residents to special activities and events as scheduled and assigned.
- Maintain vehicle logs.
- Purchase gas for facility vehicles.
- Keep preventative maintenance and inspection schedules current for all facility vehicles.
- Perform minor vehicular maintenance as needed.
- Ensure the interior and exterior of the vehicles are kept clean and presentable at all times, including washing vehicles.
- Provide general assistance at the Concierge desk as needed.
- Perform other related or unrelated duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as required to meet emergency or other specific situations.
