About The Position
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate PRN Transportation Driver to support our healthcare team by safely transporting patients/residents to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and facility‑approved outings. This flexible, as‑needed role is ideal for someone who values safety, service, and patient dignity.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to assist patients with mobility needs safely
- Strong communication, patience, and professionalism
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible PRN hours
- Drivers must complete required online training (UZRC), successfully pass a driver road test, and demonstrate proper wheelchair lift operation for each vehicle.
- Applicants must be willing and able to safely drive the following: Wheelchair Van with Lift, Wheelchair Bus with Lift, Transportation Bus, Transit Van, Scion.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with older adults or medically fragile individuals preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification appreciated but not required
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport patients/residents to scheduled healthcare appointments
- Provide assistance with boarding, exiting, and securing wheelchairs or mobility devices
- Follow all healthcare safety protocols, including infection‑control guidelines
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, complete pre‑trip safety checks, and report any concerns
- Ensure accurate documentation of trips, mileage, and patient interactions
- Deliver friendly, respectful customer service to patients, families, and staff
