About The Position
The Driver is responsible for safely driving persons-served to/from day programs and employment services. This role is part of the Community Support Services (CSS) department and involves driving to various locations within Platte County, MO. The shift is Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM daily. This is a Non-Exempt Employee position.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED / HiSET
- Age 21 or older
- Valid Class E Driver’s License and Good Driving Record
- Successful Background Screen
- Eligibility to Work in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/First Aid, etc.

Responsibilities
- Drive persons-served to/from day programs, employment, and community activities
- Complete all maintenance checklists as needed and communicate maintenance and repair needs to Transportation Facilitator
- Ensure safety of passengers by assuring compliance with agency rules, seat belt use and obeying all traffic laws
- Lift, transfer and physically assist persons-served as needed
- Accurately document in mileage and attendance logs
- Perform one emergency drill per quarter
- Attend and pass all required training courses when scheduled
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and Title VI regulations
- Wash vehicle and clean interior
- Update vehicle notebooks with required materials, keep accurate mileage logs
- Attend all meetings and agency functions as required
- Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor(s)
