The Driver will provide safe and timely transportation services for consumers in recovery from mental health issues to access Genesis House and community social activities. The Driver must be respectful of and engaging with consumers. The Driver must follow appropriate safety precautions in transporting consumers. The Driver works under the guidance of the Genesis Program Coordinator and Program Director.

Requirements

  • Strong teaming skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to actively engage persons with mental illness.
  • Attention to safety.
  • Valid Chauffeur Driver's License or ability to obtain upon hire in order to drive a large passenger van.

  • Experience in providing transportation or working with adults with mental illness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and timely transportation services for consumers in recovery from mental health issues to access Genesis House and community social activities.
  • Be respectful of and engaging with consumers.
  • Follow appropriate safety precautions in transporting consumers.
  • Plan routes and assist members in and out of vehicles.
