About The Position

The Driver Warehouse Associate represents Baker Distributing and supports safe, efficient product delivery and customer service. The position delivers and transports HVAC goods and materials from wholesale HVAC distributorships to customers, vendors, and other Sales Center locations. Between deliveries, the role helps maintain and operate the warehouse. The job also involves loading and unloading deliveries, handling related paperwork, supporting inventory and order fulfillment, and completing truck checks and reporting. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 1 year of truck driving experience.
• A valid DOT medical certificate is required prior to employment; candidates may be considered without an active card but must obtain one if offered the position.
• Ability to meet DOT physical qualification standards, with reasonable accommodations.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service, problem-solving, and relationship-building.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed.
• Demonstrated interest in continuous learning, mentoring, and leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools; assistive technologies may be used to support this function.

Nice To Haves

• CDL license is highly desirable.
• Warehouse experience, including driving a forklift or appliance lift, is a plus.
• Box truck delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent Baker Distributing Company as a leader in the industry.
• Load and unload products in the truck for delivery to customers and/or other Sales Centers.
• Collect invoices with proper signatures and return them to the Sales Center Manager.
• Assist in the warehouse with inventory counts and picking and verifying orders.
• Complete daily truck maintenance checklists and report in/out times and merchandise returns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
