About The Position

In addition to day-to-day responsibilities as a Delivery Driver, this position will serve as a lead trainer and mentor to fully acclimate team members to U.S. AutoForce’s safety rules and regulations and job responsibilities. The Driver- Trainer/Navigator will be assigned lead responsibilities with a focus on safety training and sharing U.S. Venture’s differentiating values to help our drivers be successful and ensure a great workplace.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old or older (mandatory company policy)
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past three years
  • No safety violations for the past three years e.g., hand-held mobile device, seatbelt, etc.
  • Great communication skills and ability to connect with people
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to push and/or roll tires up to 400 pounds
  • Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service
  • 1 years’ work experience and satisfactory completion of company road test by qualified assessor.
  • Ability to be trained and use powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and high reach lifts, as required
  • Must meet the physical requirements of the job
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana)
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require U.S. Venture’s sponsorship to continue to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a box truck under 26,001 pounds or other vehicles during one of our many routes while making 10-20 deliveries/day deliveries
  • Complete and maintain accurate records and logs including driver's logs, fuel purchase logs, and other records as required by company policy and law
  • Make on time deliveries at our customer's locations while in a safe, punctual manner in all weather conditions
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle you're driving for the day
  • Lift 50 pounds consistently throughout your shift and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds. When lifting commercial tires you will do team lifts or use mechanical equipment.
  • When working with barrels or industrial/agricultural tires you will need to be able to exert a pushing force up to 40 pounds
  • Assist in the loading/unloading of trucks and occasionally operate equipment (forklift pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) when needed
  • Operate a handheld device, provided, and ensure all deliveries are fulfilled
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with customers, coworkers, and management
  • Collect payments from customers upon delivery of product
  • Pace Driver trainer- Key role in assessing driver abilities and help instill a safety first culture
  • Take lead role in any retraining due to any driving incidents.
  • Train new associates to conform to accepted procedures.
  • Be an exemplary associate in every facet (work ethic, communication, Positivity, and be familiar with company initiatives and Culture)
  • Support Onboarding process and train to high level of customer service
