About The Position

The Driver Trainee is responsible for the delivery, stocking, rotation, and presentation of Hensley Beverage products across retail locations. This role ensures products are properly maintained on shelves, in coolers, and in storage areas. The Driver Trainee also supports merchandising efforts, including maintaining displays and point-of-sale (POS) materials, while delivering excellent customer service to build strong relationships with accounts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid Class A Permit required
  • No more than two moving violations within the past three years
  • No DWI convictions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
  • Ability to move up to 165 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to safely operate trucks (up to five axles) in compliance with all traffic laws
  • Strong understanding of product rotation and inventory management
  • Ability to assist drivers and sales personnel with deliveries and merchandising
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills for inventory tracking and reporting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
  • Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous delivery experience and operation of three- or four-axle tractor-trailer trucks preferred

Responsibilities

  • Check in and out with store or liquor managers at each account
  • Stock, rotate, and merchandise products in coolers, shelves, and storage areas
  • Maintain proper product rotation based on code dates
  • Build, replenish, and maintain displays, including pricing and base wraps
  • Install and maintain all POS materials (permanent and promotional)
  • Ensure all assigned accounts are fully stocked and properly merchandised
  • Identify and report out-of-stock items
  • Maintain cleanliness of displays, equipment, and assigned work areas
  • Clean and address any product breakage
  • Remove and organize empty pallets and damaged goods in designated areas
  • Maintain adequate POS materials inventory in delivery vehicle
  • Assist team members and support operations as needed
  • Complete required logs, reports, and documentation accurately
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management
