About The Position

Cascade Disposal, a Waste Connections Company, is looking to hire a Non-CDL Driver Trainee in Bend, OR. Requirements

Must hold or obtain either a Class B or Class A CDL Permit prior to hire.
Current CDL Permit with Clean Driving Record.
Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening test.
Working knowledge of D.O.T. laws.
Ability to work 40-50 hours a week.
Ability to read, write and comprehend reports to complete daily assignments in English.
Must meet position requirements and successfully pass post offer employment examinations including: Background Check, MVR Check (Clean Driving Record), Drug screen, Physical Capacity exam.

Responsibilities

Collecting and loading waste.
Transporting waste to a landfill and/or transfer station using a side-load truck.
Reading route tablets/sheets and servicing each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Performing daily Pre-trip and Post-Trip DOT inspections on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, lights, and tire pressure.
Operating hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Interacting courteously with customers.
Performing other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
