About The Position

Indiana Beverage, a family-owned beer and beverage distributor serving Northern Indiana since 1939, is hiring a Driver Trainee in the South Bend area. This is an opportunity to earn while you learn, with paid training for your Class-A CDL through an in-house program. The role involves working alongside experienced drivers to assist with product deliveries, learn delivery routes, customer service skills, and safety procedures, and train to obtain a Class-A CDL to become a full-time Route Driver. It is a physically demanding role in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 21 years or older
• Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record (no DWI/OWI)
• Ability to pass: Drug screen, Criminal background check, DOT physical, Essential functions screening, MVR review
• Ability to obtain a Class-A CDL and Salesman’s Permit
• Commitment to responsible alcohol handling and compliance with all laws
• Lift up to 160 lbs from ground level
• Push/pull up to 2,100 lbs with a pallet jack
• Lift 30 lbs overhead and climb in/out of trucks repeatedly
• Perform repetitive movements including bending, twisting, squatting, and climbing stairs or ramps
