About The Position

The Driver Supervisor DOT will directly manage the daily delivery process in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products to Ben E. Keith customers. The Driver Supervisor DOT reports to the Transportation Manager. This role involves collaborating with peer supervisors to manage daily routes and activities of transportation personnel, enforcing transportation policies and procedures to maintain equipment performance and ensure compliance of BEK safety and transportation guidelines, and managing delivery operations to ensure complete customer satisfaction. The position also includes performing daily administrative tasks for reporting work activities, personnel time, and expenditures, and verifying efficient shipping and delivery of products. Training new and current employees on routes, product delivery, paperwork completion, and safety compliance, as well as performing employee evaluations or disciplinary actions are key responsibilities. Additionally, the role requires timely investigation and reporting of all accidents, injuries, and incidents, and representing Ben E. Keith Company with professionalism.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of customer service principles; including needs assessment and meeting quality standards for services.
  • Ability to understand and enforce regulatory guidelines and to prioritize multiple projects, assignments and tasks.
  • Manage employee turn-over by maintaining or improving employee morale, and identifying and correcting obstacles.
  • Ability to travel overnight when needed.
  • 3 – 5 years of related experience; including at least one year of management experience is required.
  • Knowledge of DOT guidelines and related regulatory guidelines required.
  • Valid Arkansas Class A CDL required; with no more than one moving violation in the past 3 years.
  • Commitment to Ben E. Keith company principles and standards.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint to write reports, correspondence and communications and effectively present information to employees in a written or verbal format is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform timely investigation and reporting of all accidents, injuries and incidents to appropriate personnel.
  • Represent Ben E. Keith Company with professionalism, a positive attitude and professional dress code.
