The Delivery Driver will be the leader on deliveries/pick-ups, and they will be the first and last point of contact for the customer while onsite. The delivery drivers’ main responsibility will be to drive the company vehicles while ensuring safe and consistent operation of those vehicles. They will also be required to assist with deliveries, setups, tear downs, unloading and loading of trucks, and any other general needs of the business. They are part of a team and work closely with operations and sales. Working to provide the “greatest rental experience” for our clients. Additionally, you embody and are accountable to our core values of camaraderie, professionalism, & service both at the warehouse and onsite. The ideal candidate must have experience driving a 5-ton, 24-26 ft box truck and have a valid Class 5 license.
Requirements
- Experience in operating all types of vehicles from pick-up trucks and vans to cube trucks and 5-ton Straight trucks.
- Experience driving a 5-ton, 24-26 ft box truck.
- Valid Class 5 license.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as with minimal supervision.
- Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs may be required.
Responsibilities
- Transporting all products to and from sites.
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Living up to company values.
- Supporting Tenting and event installs/teardowns.
- Supporting deliveries/pickups.
- Product maintenance.
- Client order installations.
- Packaging.
- Cleaning.
- General labor requirements both at the warehouse or off-site.
- Adhering to the 5s warehouse principles of Sort, Standardize, set in order, Sustain and Shine.
- Ensuring all product is being picked, loaded, dismantled, and returned to the warehouse in an organized and efficient manner.
- Communicating with the client before, during and prior to leaving the customer’s site.
- Calling customers ahead of Deliveries and Pickups to notify of arrival expectations.
- Striving for 100% accuracy on loading orders onto the vehicles.
- Eliminating errors due to missing products for all deliveries/pick-ups.
- Addressing and notifying the Operations Manager and sales team about any defects or breakage of inventory.
- Maintaining vehicles operation and cleanliness.
- Communicating any known vehicle issues to be fixed or maintained in a timely manner.
- Driving safely and securing all loads.
