Driver, Relief Warehouse Operative
About The Position
Would you like to develop your skills in logistics and have a passion for delivering excellent service on the road and in the warehouse? Then you might be the person we are looking for! Take on the role as Delivery Driver & Warehouse Operative and report to our Branch Manager supporting KPI achievement across the team. Your primary tasks will be: You will carry out multi‑drop deliveries—up to 9 per day—using a 3.5 tonne vehicle across the Midlands area , ensuring safe, timely, and customer‑focused service. You will manage your vehicle by loading and unloading efficiently, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and completing routine safety checks. You will use a mobile‑based delivery system to follow routes, record deliveries, and communicate with customers professionally. When back at the branch, you will support warehouse operations including accurate picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch or collection. You will contribute to smooth warehouse workflows by assisting colleagues, keeping your workspace tidy, and following all Health & Safety procedures.
Requirements
- A valid licence to drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle
- Proven multi‑drop driving experience
- Physical capability and safe manual‑handling skills
- Ability to use mobile devices for delivery routing and updates
- A positive team‑focused attitude with willingness to support warehouse operations
