About The Position

In this position, you’ll operate a 26-foot straight box truck, ensuring products are loaded securely, transported safely, and placed accurately at customer sites. You’ll conduct pre-trip inspections, manage delivery documentation, and maintain a professional and courteous presence throughout each delivery. This role involves regular heavy lifting, requiring physical strength to move and place materials efficiently and safely. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving.
  • Possession of a Driver License (type C) – CDL license is not required.
  • Proficient in driving automatic transmission trucks.
  • Capability to operate a lift gate.
  • Experience in handling commercial and residential deliveries.
  • Ability to service all region’s distribution centers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 20% Travel for this position.
  • Successful completion of a mandatory background check.
  • 3 points or less as shown on your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
  • Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a 26’ straight box truck.
  • Compliance with all DOT driving regulations.
  • Physical loading of product into designed delivery box truck.
  • Ensure all material is properly secured at the beginning of the shift and continuously monitor after each delivery.
  • Ensure that all customer supporting paperwork is completed and returned at the end of each shift.
  • Report any issues or incidents related to material damage or customer matters to the Logistics Manager.
  • Perform the daily truck inspection, pre- and post-trip (DVIR).
  • Seeking advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor.
  • Perform and document inspections to ensure the truck and equipment are kept in good condition.
