About The Position

The Driver non-CDL at Heartland Coca-Cola is responsible for driving and delivering pre-ordered product to assigned accounts on specified routes. This role involves merchandising, displaying, and rotating products according to company standards, as well as picking up company property and collecting returns. The driver will utilize computer technology to create customer invoices, collect payments, and settle accounts daily. Providing excellent customer service, meeting customer expectations through communication and problem resolution, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies are key aspects of this position. Collaboration with other departments is also expected to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience.
  • Local delivery experience preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Driver’s license required by state: Missouri: must have a Class E license; Illinois: must have a Class C license or must obtain a Class C permit during pre-employment and before starting work; Iowa and Kansas: must have a Class C license.
  • Clean driving record within MVR guidelines.
  • Prior experience using powered pallet jack preferred.
  • Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification upon hire is required.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers products to customers on assigned route.
  • Merchandise, displays and rotates products according to company standards.
  • Picks up company property from customer locations and collect returns.
  • Utilize computer technology to create customer invoices, collect money due, and settle all customer accounts daily.
  • Provides excellent customer service and meets customer’s expectations through communication, problem resolution, and appropriate follow-up.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures including DOT regulations.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with other departments to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
