About The Position

Mead Lumber Company is seeking a Driver Non CDL/Yard Associate to join their team. The primary responsibility is to drive company vehicles to deliver merchandise to customer jobsites and physically unload the materials to the customer's satisfaction. Additional duties include receiving and unloading vendor deliveries, stocking and organizing materials, labeling and tracking special-order materials, and maintaining overall yard cleanliness and organization. Mead Lumber is a 100% employee-owned company with a strong focus on team-oriented work and professional development.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Ability to stand/walk for 4 -10 hours daily.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Physical strength to lift and carry 50+ pounds at times.
• Ability to stoop, kneel and crouch.
• Strong verbal skills and computer skills.
• Must be reliable, punctual, team-oriented, and flexible.

Nice To Haves

• CDL is a plus!
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Desire to learn and grow professionally.
• Ability to react quickly to problems and respond to them accurately and professionally.
• Self-motivated and organized.
• Prior building materials knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Load trucks according to the list of materials on the sales invoice.
• Deliver and unload materials to customer’s satisfaction and on a timely basis.
• Maintain inspection of each vehicle you drive for safe driving.
• Accurately record all merchandise returns on a credit memo.
• Listen and work with customers to solve customer needs.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Organize, label, store materials in accordance with protocols.
• Perform duties in ALL types of weather conditions.
• Other tasks as assigned.
