About The Position

Ryder is hiring a NON CDL Driver in Gustine, TX, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career. The role involves delivering SOLO to Central TX, operating a Reefer Box Truck, and handling heavy touch dairy products using a Pallet Jack and Hand Truck. Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance, and company drivers fuel up at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide. Drivers are empowered to make safety decisions, and the company supports individuals considering becoming Company Drivers. Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age
Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
Pass a Ryder Drug Test
Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Must have a valid driver’s license
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
Customer Service Experience Required

Nice To Haves

Reefer/Grocery Delivery Preferred
Pallet Jack experience preferred

Responsibilities

Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service
Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
Maintaining accurate records
Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
Other tasks as assigned
