About The Position

Buddy Moore Trucking is seeking a Driver Manager for the 2nd Shift to manage the daily activities of our driver personnel. This role offers the opportunity to be a great manager for our fleet. The shift is from 3pm to midnight, and commitment to this schedule is required. The company, founded in 1999, has grown into a multi-division transportation provider and is now part of PS Logistics. They maintain a driver-first culture and are committed to their employees.

Requirements

Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field, OR 1-3 years of experience in dispatch or fleet management
Proficient experience with truck dispatch software
Microsoft Office knowledge
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Detail-oriented with great interpersonal skills
Willingness to work second shift hours (3pm to Midnight)

Nice To Haves

Flatbed Experience a plus

Responsibilities

Communicate ETAs with load planners
Utilize McLeod (operating software) to assign work to drivers nationwide
Direct daily activities of drivers to designated territories or dedicated operations
Provide drivers with guidance on complying with local, state, and federal trucking regulations
Ensure drivers are safe, productive, and deliver on time
Counsel drivers and assist them with over-the-road issues
Assist drivers with keeping important documents up to date (driver's license renewal, random drug tests, physicals)
