About The Position

We are hiring a part-time Driver / Maintenance Technician to support daily community operations by safely transporting residents and completing routine maintenance and basic repairs. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in both a people-facing driving role and a hands-on maintenance role.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to meet insurability requirements
  • Basic maintenance experience or strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to follow written work orders and communicate clearly with residents and team members
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs (with reasonable accommodation)
  • Reliable attendance and a safety-first mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in senior living, property maintenance, apartment maintenance, hospitality, or facilities support
  • Knowledge of basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting (non-licensed tasks)
  • CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience driving a van/shuttle and securing wheelchairs (or willingness to learn)

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport residents to scheduled appointments, outings, and community events using company vehicle(s)
  • Assist residents on and off the vehicle as needed, including support with walkers and wheelchairs (as applicable)
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any concerns immediately
  • Maintain trip logs, schedules, and related documentation
  • Perform routine building and grounds maintenance (light plumbing, patch/paint, basic electrical, minor carpentry, furniture moves, etc.)
  • Complete work orders efficiently and communicate status updates to leadership
  • Conduct preventive maintenance checks (lighting, door hardware, HVAC filters where applicable, common areas, safety equipment)
  • Maintain a clean, organized maintenance area and properly store tools and supplies
  • Identify maintenance risks and proactively report safety hazards, damaged equipment, or needed repairs
  • Follow safety policies, infection control practices (as applicable), and confidentiality standards
  • Support emergency procedures and assist with other operational needs as assigned
