The Local Truck Driver position will handle local deliveries within a specific area with care, professionalism, and precision. Drives semi-tractor/trailers for up to 11 hours after 10 hours off-duty on runs of up to one week or more. P&D locally. Backs trailers to customer dock. Maintains compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and safe and professional driving behavior. Communicates with customer representatives in pleasant, respectful, and efficient manner. Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers. Complies with all DOT requirements including drug and alcohol testing (subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing). Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle. Ensure that any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving. Swings and secures trailer doors. Performs other duties as required.
