About The Position

The Life Enrichment Coordinator / Driver is responsible for providing safe transportation for residents while supporting a vibrant activities program that promotes social engagement, wellness, independence, and overall quality of life. This role serves as a key contributor to creating meaningful experiences for residents through transportation services, activities, events, and community outings.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid Driver’s License
CDL License, if applicable
2+ Years Experience
Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office/community setting.
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 50 lbs.
Ability to operate various equipment base on department and weather conditions
Engaging in repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and fingers – typing and/or writing.
Clarity of Vision For near visual acuity Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers.
For Far visual acuity, Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. This is not just the ability to see a person or object, but the ability to recognize features as well.
For peripheral vision, observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point.

Responsibilities

Drive the community van for scheduled appointments, outings, and resident activities.
Assist residents safely onto and off the vehicle and escort them to their destination when needed.
Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of life enrichment programs and activities for residents.
Encourage resident participation in social, recreational, educational, cultural, and wellness programs.
Assist with setting up, facilitating, and cleaning up activity events and community gatherings.
Develop positive relationships with residents and provide companionship and engagement opportunities.
Accompany residents on community outings and special events, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
Maintain attendance records and activity participation logs as directed.
Notify supervisor of vehicle maintenance or repair needs.
Complete vehicle inspection checklists and monitor fuel levels before each trip.
Monitor and comply with vehicle inspection and maintenance schedules.
Help maintain a safe community environment by identifying and reporting hazards.
Clean the interior and exterior of the van on a regular basis.
Assist with decorating common areas for holidays, special events, and community celebrations.
Perform other duties as assigned to support resident engagement and quality of life.
