About The Position

The Driver License Examiner Assistant supports daily operations at a Driver License Center and helps ensure customers receive accurate and timely service. The role involves guiding customers through licensing processes, administering vision screenings and knowledge tests, entering information and results into online systems, and providing information about licensing services and requirements. The position supports safe roadways through professional customer service, policy compliance, and attention to safety.

Requirements

• One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
• Meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
• Be able to perform the essential job functions.
• Submit criminal history reports following a conditional offer of employment.
• Pass a fingerprint and name-based criminal history check before employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and guide them through identification checks, application steps, and required forms.
• Administer vision screenings and knowledge tests to assess applicant readiness.
• Enter applicant information, test results, and service transactions into online systems.
• Provide information on renewals, duplicates, REAL ID requirements, and commercial license options.
• Follow fee waiver rules, customer service policies, and REAL ID regulations.
• Monitor surroundings and follow safety procedures and reporting requirements.
